Description

This is the best way to get to the top of the mountain to be able to enjoy both Giddy-Up Trail and Ziler Loop Trail. This starts out as a paved climb on Middle Fork Rd and transitions to gravel on the Overlook Trail. Overall, the route is a great workout with very nice scenery. This route is also a much easier way to access the Ziller Trails while avoiding a punishing climb.

Be aware, the road is open to cars except in the winter.

After taking in the view, continue past the overlook through the gate on the grass-covered doubletrack South Prospect Rock Trail that leads to Giddy-Up Trail and Ziler Loop Trail. This sets up a nice 12+ mile loop.
