Description

This section of the Backbone Trail could be part of a longer, epic ride from the Kanan Road trailhead all the way to the Mishe Mokwa trailhead and back (15 miles one way).

This trail is very popular among hikers for a couple of reasons: it's easily accessible from Kanan Road and has plenty of parking and over-flow parking. It's also relatively easy when compared to other, more challenging parts of the Backbone Trail.

When you ride this section, in either direction, be aware of other trail users and use a bear bell and reduce your speed.
