Description

This singletrack trail starts on the west side of the ridge and crosses over to intersect with the end of the Short Horse Mountain Trail. The descent from that intersection to Cub Run Road is more frequently traveled and is a part of the the Bird Knob and Catherine Furnace Loop.

The grade starts out steep and gradually lessens. By the time it reaches the historic iron furnace at the bottom, it's quite tame.
