This ride begins in a dirt parking area just off of Walnut Creek Road. Many people will simply park at the Continental Divide access further down the road and ride their bike up to this trail. Either way should work as long as the road is able to be driven.

Do not let the fact that this ride technically occurs on a jeep road make you think it is not challenging or an inferior option given the proximity to Continental Divide singletrack. This ride will challenge you as you'll initially be met with a climb, but the ride will quickly turn into a rugged, slick and rocky roller coaster of short quick descents followed by steep climbing sections. This is sometimes referred to as being the widest section of technical "singletrack" in Grant County due to the road being a challenging experience.

You may also encounter a few shallow creek crossings depending on the weather. At the horseshoe bend, the road will transition into Bear Creek Road and allow you to access Sycamore Canyon Trail for a Devils Garden run or you can continue to the pavement and ride back to town via I-15.

Additionally, a short side trail (Bear Creek Connector) just before the highway allows you to connect to the Continental Divide without ever having to ride on pavement and allows you to make a rugged, 20+ mile adventure loop back to the parking area.
