ADA Accessible Not ADA Accessible. No motorized access. Surface varies from sandy to rocky to shale. People with motor skills and coordination problems would probably need to hire horses to see the area.

The area is open April 1 through May 14 and July 1 through December 14. But I wouldn't ride there during hunting season. You must have a hunting/fishing license or a permit. Motorized Vehicles are not allowed beyond the parking area. See more info here.

Closure Dates December 15--March 31 and May 15--June 30.

Description

This is a steep road with great vistas. There are many roads to explore. I believe the roads can be ridden in a full circle. You have to ride early to avoid building thunderstorms in the afternoon. Urraca is a remote area. It is on the east side of the road mile marker 34 across from the big green barn.
