“Rocky singletrack leading off the Dowd Mountain Overlook.
”
This is the more difficult piece of singletrack in the Dowd Mountain area. Beginners probably won't like this portion and are likely better off taking Dowd Mountain Road #094 down from the overlook.
The trail starts just next to the information sign. It is relatively flat, but is quite rocky. The views are great. The trail ends at an intersection with the Hideout-Carter Creek Trail #002. Take a left here to connect with the rest of the Dowd Mountain riding. A right will take you down 1,700 vertical feet to Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
