Description

Waterloo North, blazed with orange trail markers, is the easiest way to get out of Deer Park and onto the road if you're in a hairy situation. Otherwise, most only ride it as a climb if you ride the Rogue Trail, or as a descent out of the park to connect the trails at Stephens State Park across Waterloo Valley Road.

The trail is either a steep downhill that will test your technical descending skills, or a lung-busting climb that lasts at least 10 minutes. Coming down the trail, after descending for a half mile, there is a tricky stream crossing that only the most tech-savvy riders will find themselves clearing.
