Description

The easiest way to access this section of the Glenwood Horse Trail 3004E would be to park at the Sunset Field overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cross the BRP and go through the gated fire road to the left. Take the fire road down until it opens up and stay to your right. This becomes a steep punch of a climb up to the top.

The trail then turns right (look for orange blazes) and transitions to singletrack. From here, it's all sweet singletrack descending with several switchbacks and some chunky rock sections towards the end.

The trail puts you out on Overstreet Creek Road next to an awesome waterfall. Go right to climb back to the Parkway and right on the Parkway back to Sunset Field.
