Description
Built in 2017 by the Breckenridge Trail Crew and plenty of volunteer help, the Mineral Hill trail connects Upper
Minnie Mine with Lincoln Meadow while relying on a bit of
Rich Gulch (GH 62) for the last bit to the Meadow.
For a west to east ride, start on
Minnie Mine (upper section) a few hundred yards west of the junction with
Side Door. It starts with a few quick climbs and then turns into a narrow roller coaster ride paralleling
Minnie Mine. Eventually the singletrack opens onto three talus fields which have maintained trail sections.
The rocks are still settling and there are a few high ones, so these sections can be a bit tricky and daunting. After the three talus fields, soft, fresh singletrack switches up the hill until it meets
Rich Gulch (GH 62). You can proceed up
Rich Gulch (GH 62) to Lincoln Meadow and the
Prospect Hill Road and
Lincoln Park Road.
This is a challenging trail not for the faint of heart as the tread is off-camber on the west end and the majority of the trail traverses are fairly steep. The views though are great!
