This trail is open to motorcycles and e-bikes during the summer season. This typically starts around the end of June and runs through early October. Check with the USFS for exact opening dates.

Description

When ridden in concert with the Oro Grande Trail and the old Tenderfoot Trail, this trail makes a great short loop ride that finishes with a 2.0 mile descent to the Straight Creek Road. The second portion of the trail (past the intersection where you can detour onto the Tenderfoot Trail) is fun rolling singletrack with a good climb and amazing views.

This trail is best ridden by ascending on this trail then onward to the Wide Open Trail #9508 and over to the Frey Gulch area where additional trails and loop opportunities abound.
