Dogs Leashed
This road is accessible to cars and has light traffic, so please ride on the right. Dogs are allowed only on lower section below the BST. The road does close to cars in winter (upper section first, then the lower section), but is open to bikes and pedestrians year-round.
Description
This dirt road provides access to the Corner Canyon trails from the north. It is a long climb with over 1000 vertical feet, and some short, steeper sections on the upper half provide some challenge, or you can veer off onto the
Aqueduct Trail,
Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Corner Canyon Connector (C3), or
Rattler trails. Overall, you'll enjoy nice views of the valley and upper canyon along the whole ride, and it will test your fitness.
You can make a loop by going UP the road, down
Ghost Falls Trail,
Canyon Hollow, or Rush and back to Orson Smith via
Gas Line Trail/BST/
Aqueduct Trail.
The road is fast on the descent, so watch out for ruts, loose rock, and washboard! It dries out very quickly after rain, and can be ridden in the snow (even without fat tires). You can DRIVE this road to trailheads/parking areas at the BST and top of Ghost Falls.
