Description

This trail is a hidden treasure in the Mission Peak area. There is a fun section for MTB and it is the only legal singletrack in the park. If you come up using Peak Trail from Ohlone College, right before the third cattle gate, take the steep hill on the left onto Panorama Trail.

The first quarter mile is a brutal climb, and then it descends very fast and continues with some ups and downs to the top. From here, the trail is a singletrack with some technical difficulties and pretty fun going back and forth.

There is some shade on the trail but expect a rough surface because of cows and low maintenance. The trail descends the other side of Ohlone College but if you want to, you can head back up using Dry Creek Trail which later connects back to Peak Trail.

I did this trail clockwise as part of a longer loop. A few parts that are so steep or narrow that I had to get off and walk, won't do it again. 14.2mi — 1h 54m
