Starting from the end of the Strada Plesdinaz, a mostly doubletrack trail passes by the St. Jacob Kirche (church) on its way to Santa Cristina in the valley.

The first 2 km (1.2 mi) are relatively flat and easy following the contour about 500 ft (150 m) above the valley floor. It is at this point that you'll reach the Sankt Jakob Kirche (St. Jacob's Church). The church lies in a clearing and from here, you've got a great view of the valley below and the Langkofel Massif to the south.

There is a trail intersection just before you reach the church. The Sankt Jakob - Val d'Anna (6) trail continues straight to Ortisei. Trail 32 continues down to the left as a singletrack, descending steeply to Santa Cristina in the valley. The descent is about 250 m (800 ft) in 2 km (1.2 mi), passing by a number of farms.
