El Bandido is a flowing mix of flats, downhills, climbs and twisting-through-the-trees wholesomeness.

Description

El Bandido begins with a flowing flat ride with an awesome view of Lake Weatherford that ends at a left hand turn through the cedars. Then there's a drop into excitement as you roll down a fast grade before heading back up again quickly into a right hand turn before climbing to the top as you make a left hand turn onto the power line. Just as you soak in the view, you begin to roll like a rocket ship downhill and back up just as quickly with a rather tight left hand turn, rolling right back to the bottom, coasting up hill with a slight right hand turn onto a long bench cut into the hillside.

As you drop into the tree line, you begin to twist and drop downhill through trees and light scrub ending with a hard left and continuing along twisting through the grass and trees. As you make a slow climb through the grass, you see the Houston Grinder come into view, almost a 0.25 mile of up hill grade that will make your legs burn with joy ending with a tight right hand climb to the top.

Just as you catch your breath as you pedal along the top, you begin to take a slow right hand drop back into high speed madness taking you way down then up, then back down again as you cross along several benches that have been cut and a cool little berm that is in the mix ending with a tight twisty singletrack trail that leads you along the bottom of it all.

As you come into a small clearing, you cross into the tall oaks and begin your climb back to the top along more benches that twist and climb all the way back up testing your legs one last time to make the last few pedal strokes and climb out onto the top where it follows a short trail and joins back into the main trail.
