DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Shoals starts off of Corn Mill Shoals shortly after the Little River stream crossing and ends at the intersection with Laurel Ridge. It allows a shorter but more difficult climb to the top of Laurel Ridge than taking Corn Mill Shoals to Laurel Ridge.
