Need to Know

It's very important to stay on the trail to help preserve the cryptobiotic soils that help slow erosion. Be prepared for anything because you are on your own out in the middle of nowhere. Take food, water, tools, and any anything else to be self-sufficient. Fat bikes are a must if you drop into the Mariposa Preserve (Badlands).

Description

This area is great for avid mountain bikers. The soil in this area can be dry, loose, and sandy, so wide fat tires are highly recommended but not required like within the Badlands which are fat bike specific. There are many miles of trails in this area. All are directional and very narrow with lots of spiny cactus.
