Need to Know
Plenty of parking, picnic tables, and BBQ grills are available at the pavilion. Restrooms are around the back. After your ride, head up (north) Eaton Ferry Road to Lake Gaston for restaurants, fuel, or bike parts.
Description
Access the Graveyard Loop by heading out from the parking lot towards the field beyond the pavilion. The trailhead is at the back corner of the field.
The trail starts off tight and twisty but quickly opens up. After 0.2 miles, the loop connects with the lake access dirt road. Stay left to continue on Graveyard Loop, or cross the dirt road to the
Rockpile Loop.
Continuing on Graveyard Loop, you head down to the creek crossing (go for it—it's a hard bottom), then up the hill and to the left, through the benched-in section. Be ready to gear down as the next section twists up the hill. Continue your climb up the hill. Then, when you get to the top, there's a sweet little gravity section to let you get your breath back.
Graveyard Loop continues to wind up and down the hillside, ultimately returning you to the field where you entered the woods. Stay straight for another loop, or exit into the field to head back to the parking lot.
