Description

The well-marked and signed trail begins across the street from the Placerville Station located at 2970 Mosquito Flat Road, Placerville, CA. and terminates outside the town of Camino. The trail is not challenging. However, it's a constant 3%-6% grade uphill for 6.6 miles. Near the beginning is a cool tunnel that I forgot to photograph, and about four miles up the trail is an overpass that crosses Hwy 50 east.

The trail is paved for six miles with bench seating, dog poo bags, and trash cans along the way. The last 0.6 miles is dirt doubletrack until it ends at Highway 50 east. The entire trail is kept well trimmed of trees and brush and road hazards highlighted in white paint.

There are several well-marked back road and private drive crossings on the trail.

Pretty - and mostly in shade in the morning. A few short but interesting side trails if you want to ride on some dirt! 6.1mi — 0h 40m
