Really nice pond and pine groves are located near Sooky Golman Nature Center for a welcome stopping spot before going up the hill.

Description

Follow Lake Drive up the canyon to Franklin Canyon Drive. The fire road begins on the left.

This is a great way to link Hastain Trail with Betty B. Dearing Trail (Fryman Canyon) on gravel, packed dirt through the canyon before emerging back on the paved road. The road continues to the top of the hill.
