Description

The new Sand Creek fat bike trail system is located behind the Swap Meet off of Platte Ave. This is a part of the stormwater project that the city was kind enough to incorporate a 2,000-foot fat bike trail in Sand Creek with the east and west sides having trails and the center being a freeride area with plenty of interesting obstacles to help train and have fun on.

The city press release notes that fat bikes, which have large tires, "allow riders to easily transverse different types of terrain including sand while leaving a minimal trace of their presence allowing Spring Creek to be a free roam area in the Creek Bed."

No official map has been released as of yet, due to being a small part of the entire Sand Creek trail system which has not been completed yet.
