The land is closed during deer firearms seasons (see hunting regulations
here). During deer archery and turkey season, the land is closed until after 10:00 a.m.
You'll need a GA hunting or fishing license to use the property at any time, even if you're not hunting. Any license or permit can be purchased

Description
Using the abandoned Iron Belt Railroad ROW (
railga.com/ironbelt.html), this basically flat trail officially dead ends at the WMA property line at the Bartow County water tank, but if you have permission from the private landowner, it offers a connection to many miles of advanced trail, including the road to the top of Sugar Hill, or to the
Sugar Hill Climb trail. For more advanced riders, the gentle incline from the parking area is a great warm-up for the climbs to come.
Assuming you have permission to cross over the private property, this trail is a great starting point for a day at Pine Log, as it is much closer to Highway 411 than traditional Pine Log WMA parking.
