The Hut van Mie Pils is a popular place to visit for people that walk in the forest at the other side of the highway. You can get there by car and park your car alongside the road. This makes a good alternative starting point.

The current starting point is where the connector from Molenheide/Luchtenseheide ends. Alternatively, you can start in Aalst, or in Eindhoven (Gijzenrooi). You can take a shortcut in the southern part, but if you do so, you'll miss the only part where you have some small hills. The rest of the trail is mostly flat.

The strength of this trail is its variety. The trail goes through forest, over sandy roads, between green fields and through small pieces of moorland. It varies often, you are regularly rewarded by a new view.

The trail is mostly flat. There are some curvy areas and one place where you carefully must avoid trees. Expect some places with lots of roots (makes a bumpy ride, but is not difficult), some places that tend to be very muddy, and also some loose sand where you need to work hard in the moorland area.
