If you arrive at Reimers Ranch and the trail condition signs indicate 'Mountain Bike Trails Closed'... you can still usually do this particular ride as it does not utilize the normal, sectioned-off mountain bike trails. If the park staff at the check-in station see your bike on the back of your car/truck and tell you the trails are closed, tell them you are going to ride the 'multi use trails' and will not be riding on the closed mountain bike trails.
Overview
This ride gives you a great tour of Reimers Ranch and takes you out into the awesome backcountry areas that most folks don't get the chance to take in. This ride utilizes rugged jeep trails and multi-use doubletrack and is usually open and completely rideable even when the designated mountain bike trails are closed. This ride drains off and dries quick after rains, so its nearly always open/rideable.
A great ride for intermediate and advanced riders who want to get some cardio burn miles in without too many technical features. The ride is 'intermediate' level as the doubletrack can get a bit technical in a few spots and you'll need to be in good physical condition to complete the ride comfortably.
A big portion of the ride has open sun exposure so be sure to use sun protection and have plenty of hydration.
Need to Know

Description
Park at the mountain biking trailhead parking lot. This is about 1.7 miles from the check-in station on the right side of the road. You can't miss it as there are well marked park signs visible from the main road.
Start off taking the
Multi-Use Trail clockwise and follow it around the back side of the mountain biking trails area for about 2.4 miles until it crosses the turn off to the
Pogue Springs to Hogge Parkland Connector. Take the connector and ride for about 1 mile until it drops you off at the entrance to the
Hogge Parkland Outer Loop. Take the 2.3 mile loop counter clockwise and it will return you back to the
Pogue Springs to Hogge Parkland Connector.
Take the connector back to the
Multi-Use Trail and go right (counter clockwise) for about 700 feet until you get to the MTB Trails Cut Through
Connector. Take the connector back to the parking lot!
Extra 1: If you want more of an XC work out, go up and down the
Pogue Springs to Hogge Parkland Connector 2 or 3 times before doing the
Hogge Parkland Outer Loop. And then do a few extra laps on the
Hogge Parkland Outer Loop before heading back.
Extra 2: If you want to take a detour towards the end of the ride and cool off with a swim... go another 600 feet farther on you return leg of the
Multi-Use Trail and take the Canyon Perch Overlook (natural springs pool) trail before heading back.
Please be respectful of the property and if you go to the natural springs, help keep it pristine! Thanks !
