Overview
A decent, roughly 5 mile, mostly intermediate loop in the north side of Brady's Run Park, starting from the Recycling Area Parking. Skip
Stonehenge and loop back another way if you're not into steep, loose, rocky, off-camber trail with some switchbacks.
Description
Brady's North Side Loop is as easy as a loop can get at Brady's Run Park. Start this loop from any of the eastern side parking lots; however, the Recycling Area Parking is the closest and typically the least crowded.
Climbing averages out to about 130 feet per mile, but unfortunately, all of the climbing is right out of the gate, about 1 mile of up right after leaving the parking lot. The initial switchbacks aren't too bad, but after getting up to the ridge, the more "straight line climbing" is a bit of a bear. Once you're all the way up on top, the climbing minimizes and the trails become "as beginner as it gets" for Brady's. Some nice, relatively low climbing, rolling ups and downs circle around the baseball fields.
This ride ends with
Stonehenge Trail which is steep, loose, rocky, and off-camber with some switchbacks, but is a blast once you're comfortable riding that type of terrain. More beginners and light intermediates might want to skip this trail by circling back another way on singletrack, or riding the road down back to the parking lot.
