Description

This trail begins by the lower gate in the parking lot. It starts relatively flat but becomes a steady descent after a half mile, allowing one to coast all the way to the picnic area and bathrooms. From there, the trail passes through a small gate and begins a quick but steep ascent to Lake Louise.

From the viewing platform at Lake Louise, the trail flattens out and turns left, around the swampy south shore of the lake. A little more than a tenth of a mile later, the trail takes a sharper left turn and begins its way back South. After a steady but short ascent to the viewing area of the Yellow Trail, this trail begins a moderate, but lengthy descent. In the last two tenths of a mile descend very quickly back to the lot.
