This trail is accessed where Mohler Dr. and Country Hills Rd. meet and descends into the Deer Canyon Preserve. The trail is mostly wide except for a few spots to accommodate horses. It heads north hugging the contours of the hillside before slightly steeper section before meeting the paved Hidden Canyon Connector

At the junction, turn right to climb the Hidden Canyon to Deer Canyon Trail and Four Corners Trail and beyond or descend a few hundred feet to some restrooms. A fire road (Ocelot) climbs to the right of the restrooms up and over the hillside before descending to Santa Ana Canyon Rd.
