Bluff Lake is managed by a private conservancy—no biking allowed around the lake.

Description

2N11 road will take the rider to the Champion Lodgepole Pine trailhead. The trail is a fun little singletrack and will be a great relief after the dirt road riding. The Champion Lodgepole Pine is a unique pine tree that is on every Big Bear attraction map, but is rarely visited by the regular tourist crowd due to its remote nature. A small fence girdles the tree and a few of its smaller neighbors.

After circling the tree, continue on the trail to Bluff Lake. Upon reaching the lake, riders must dismount to enjoy the area as bike riding is prohibited.

Stay for a snack and consider exploring other nearby trails.
