Parking near the lake, with large shaded areas for breaks or prepping. Trail begins north (left) from the parking lot. Trailhead splits in the woods. There is about a tenth of a mile of two-way traffic to get to the main trails.

Short two-way trail leads to trailhead in woods. Depending on the day of week, the trail is ridden clockwise or counter clockwise. There are very clear signs at the entrance to every trail at the trailhead split so it is impossible to misunderstand the appropriate direction.

There are several berms and jumps in both directions which leads to the strange feeling of riding up the backsides of jumps. Mostly smooth with some longer climbs based on the direction.

The trail overlaps with Cedar Hill: Phase 1 at the beginning based on the direction we traveled. There is a split from Cedar Hill: Phase 1 at about half a mile.
