Though relatively flat, this unmaintained trail is pretty narrow in spots and has a lot of tree roots, some rocks, and at least one tree right in the middle of the trail, making it more technical than anything in the nearby Mt Sutro Open Space.

As of summer 2020, there's also a medium-sized log across the trail towards the northwestern end.

This trail also gets very muddy whenever it's foggy (which is most of the time between late May and early September), and is fairly slow to dry out.
