This parking lot does not have bathrooms. Be sure to lock your vehicle and stow your valuables out of sight or leave them at home. Break-ins have happened in the past.

Manawa East trail runs through the wooded area on the north bank of the Missouri River. The original trail was almost completely destroyed by the 2011 Missouri River flood. However, the work and sweat of a handful of dedicated trail builders revitalized over five miles of trail.

It is mostly flat, but the trail takes advantage of any rises in the topography. There are also a few features along the way including log roll-overs, short wooden bridges, and an elevated skinny. All of these features have ride arounds or are easily walked.

The trail is dirt singletrack with a few roots thrown in. It is also tight in the trees at certain points and requires a little body english to avoid hitting your handlebars. Like Manawa West, Manawa East is easily enjoyed as a fast rip in the woods or a relaxing cruise through nature.
