This trail starts near Jackson Elementary School, but there is no parking at the trailhead. A paved sidewalk connects it to the center of the City of Jackson about a mile to the north.

There is one slightly challenging dip marked clearly with "slow down" signs and at the 1.3-mile mark. The trail works through some rocky terrain on the way to a nice overlook of a small creek. Novice riders should be able to navigate these without too much trouble.

The trail terminates at the Aboothlacoosta Loop. Trail entrances and major turns are well marked with white Carsonite markers.
