Need to Know

From the only stop light in Mancos, drive west two miles on 160. Turn right (north) on County Road 39 and drive 1.9 miles to the north parking area.

Note that as of summer 2022, the parking lot is not officially established. You can carefully pull off the road into the area marked by T-posts.

Open to hikers, bikers, horseback riders and Class 1 e-bikes.

Description

Moonscape is a short loop that starts right from the north parking area. Connects to the rest of the Aqueduct trails via Evenflow. A fun, short, easy loop. Options to lap the "moonscape" area via Bivalve.

The Aqueduct Trails are multi-use non-motorized (plus class 1 e-bikes) featuring beginner and intermediate trails through pinyon, juniper and sage with big views of Mesa Verde, the Sleeping Ute and the La Plata mountains. Hikers, bikers, dog walkers, horseback riders and class 1 ebikers are welcome. It is recommended that bikers follow the trails in a clockwise direction.
