Red Oktober starts at the Fairway Gate to the Arnold Rim trail system. After the entrance, bear to the right onto singletrack. You'll ride mostly level grounds through the mountain misery/bear clover, with a few small optional jumps, until the trail intersects with the Penny Pines fire road.

Cross the fire road, and Red Oktober continues, with bigger features including an optional drop (right at the fire road), a couple of tabletops, a stump drop, and some berms, until it intersects the Cougar Rock fire road.
