Overview
Two nice singletracks, an easy doubletrack - following an elevation line - an outstanding viewpoint and a moderate uphill at small roads.
Need to Know
The easy doubletrack from Bivio Bramapane (alt. 623 m) up to LaCroce (alt. 633 m) is a part of
AV5T Centrale
Description
Carpena (alt. 460 m): here are a few places beside the street for parking, where
Carpena Downhill (part of Sentiero #501) ends. Take this trail for uphill (I had to hike the bike only 3 or 4 times for some meters).
La Croce (alt. 633 m): here you'll cross
AV5T Centrale, stay for a few meters at #501 toward Riomaggiore, then take the unmarked path
Sella La Croce: downhill to Sentiero #502 at the right and enjoy the downhill.
Getting a dirt road
Via Dei Santuari (Sentiero #530) at about 400m. Take it to the south. Follow this is line, enjoy the views and climb up a U-turn (now the road is paved).
Casarino (alt.405m): here branches off the short connector to the sanctuary of Madonna di Nero (alt. 330 m), a nice trail and a nice viewpoint (20min incl. Back to Casarino)
From Casarino climb up at the paved section of Via Dei Santuari.
Colle del Telegrafo (alt. 516 m): here you cross
AV5T Centrale, for uphill take better the small paved road (Via Parodi), actually closed (damage) for traffic, but you can pass by bike.
Bivio Bramapane (alt. 623 m): here you can switch towards the seaside, to
AV5T Centrale, which is getting a well rideable doubletrack in this part, crossing the slopes of Monte Verrugoli with a nice view down to Riomaggiore.
La Croce (alt. 633 m): here the doubletrack leaves
AV5T Centrale and you'll have to turn right at
Carpena Downhill (part of Sentiero #501). Enjoy the short downhill back to Carpena (alt. 460 m).
