Parking at all DTE lots and at the Poto trailhead at Silver Lake require Michigan Dept of Natural Resources (DNR) access through day-rate payment or license plate sticker with MI vehicle registration. The exception being the Lyndon Township parking lot on the B2B trail off North Territorial where parking is free (~0.5 miles from the Green Lake lot at DTE). All the DNR trail heads have at least a primitive toilet and some have clothes changing stalls.

A bidirectional mixed singletrack/gravel/paved two-track connector trail between the Potawatomi and DTE Energy Foundation MTB trails using much of the long-established Waterloo-Pinckney hiking trail, ~1 mile of gravel on Embry Road and a bit of the new paved Washtenaw County B2B trail near Chelsea, MI. This trail is mostly rolling terrain through meadows and forests and along the edge of farm fields but also includes some challenging hills in Park Lyndon south of N. Territorial Road.

An epic ride of about 55 miles (>50 miles singletrack) and 4,000+ feet of climbing can be made if using this connector to combine the Potawatomi and DTE trails into the legendary "Potoloo" loop. Riders can start Potoloo at any of four parking lots at or near DTE or the Silver Lake lot in the Pinckney Recreation Area (Poto trailhead). This connector joins DTE at the Green Lake (M-52) lot with the Poto trail near the "Boy Scout Camp" at the end of the "Hills of Hell" section on Poto. On the other hand, this connector makes for a nice out-back ride in itself for ~13 miles and ~1100+' of climbing.

Previously used by MTBers only 1X per year for the Poto Mountain Bike Association's Triple Trail Challenge event. But opened year-round to MTB riders, hikers and runners (not horses) by the MI DNR in September '22.
