Description

The Flood Control Trail follows the city flood control levy from NMT to the confluence channel. It is an unimproved widetrack trail that is most commonly used by walkers and runners, with views of Socorro Peak and the river valley.

Service roads cross under the freeway and connect to the Socorro Valley Bosque Trail providing connectivity for longer rides. Note that the crossing under I-25 can feel a bit sketchy.
