Need to Know

Do not continue riding past the wilderness boundary.

Description

This trail is best accessed off of Cave Creek Road near the bridge at the private property boundary. The trailhead is a small opening nestled between lots of private property.

Take the trail up a short but steep hill and cross through the gate. Follow the trail as it generally runs parallel to a fence line. The trail may have sections of overgrowth and deadfall but is generally rideable.

After about a mile, you'll arrive at a trail junction. Technically, the trail continues south into the upper ridges of the Chiricahua mountains. Unfortunately, this also means the trail passes into the wilderness where mountain bikes are not allowed. The only option is to continue on the Snowshed Basin trail and continue to follow the fenceline.
