Overview

This trail is relatively tame difficulty wise, but does become loose when impacted by cattle travel. The straight sections are largely low grade and with few if any rock gardens. There are some pavers in corners to reduce motorcycle erosion. A fun descent to add to the region.

Description

A relatively fun out-and-back ride, climbable, and fun descending on the same trail. Great views, good wildflowers, altogether a fantastic addition to a Kern weekend. Add this trail to Just Outstanding for a massive downhill ride. This trail is largely still recovering from wildfire, so there is some whitethorn encroaching in the upper miles, but largely the downed trees have been logged, and the trail is a joy to ride. Highly recommended as an option that is less rock or technical than the rest of the region.

History & Background

This was and still is a route of travel for cattle ranching in the region.
