Description

Coyote Park is typically ridden from the base of Rampart Hills and heading towards Box Canyon. The trail starts out rather relaxing and gradual going through nice green meadows before heading into aspen groves. There are small descents throughout the climb in the first half as well as steeper punches vs the usual gradual climbing. Once you get to the edge of Box Canyon, the descent really starts and the trail gets steeper and much more rocky and loose. The rocks are more baby heads and less imbedded. You'll eventually end at the river and have to cross it before continuing on to either Box Canyon Trail or Transfer Trail.
