If riding here in warmer seasons, bring more water than you think you could need.

The dirt is soft and sandy so it's hard to gain momentum and carry speed (I wasn't able to cover the distance I thought I would be able to). Lot's of fun rocky tech sections with tinajas and small slot canyons. The rock slab sections of the trail are sparsely marked by cairns of all sizes that can be hard to spot. Keep a keen eye out for them in order to find your way off the rock and onto to the dirt sections of trail. The vista views are spectacular from higher elevations.

The American Motorcyclist Association uses these trails for for dirt bike trials events. The only evidence I could see of this were some tire tracks in some of the dirt sections. The landscape has been minimally impacted and very well respected from what I can tell.
