Best to park at Sky Tavern and take the Easy Up Trail, which spearheads into the start of the Tamarack Trail.

Description

Intermediate trail that winds up the mountain through meadows, timber, and creeks. Popular trail with both hikers and bikers, some dogs on the trail also. Technically the trail ends at the parking lot at the top of Mt Rose Highway, popular stopping spot is at the intersection of the Mt Rose Hiking Trail.
