Description

This singletrack parallels Tinton Road with a steady climb from Spearfish (or a fast descent if you can find someone to shuttle you to the top of the trail network). At the top, the trail connects with Twin Bridges for further climbing just before reaching the gravel Tinton Road. There is a nice trailhead across the road at the top of Twin Bridges.

If starting from the trailhead at Twin Bridges, the trail offers over 10 miles of almost continuous downhill riding through the Black Hills forest down into Spearfish. The canopy breaks into a couple of wildlife openings, and there is a nice view of Spearfish from the trail towards the bottom. The tread is primarily dirt with only a few rocky sections.

The Big Hill trail system also starts at the top of Twin Bridges and there are a number of other trail systems (Rimrock, Crow Peak, and Old Baldy) accessible via other trails further up in the hills.
