Montana Tech Open Space Park is a non-motorized multi-use trail system. There are two main Parking Areas, one at the top (North) of the park on Orofino Gulch Rd, and one at the Bottom (South) of the park at the end of W Park St. There are no facilities such as bathrooms or water available at the Park.

This trail will take you from the bottom of Whisky Gulch all the Way to the top of the park where there is a small entrance between large boulders that exits out onto Orofino Rd. It also connects to North Tech trail which will bring you to the Northern Parking Lot.

The lower (southern) part of this trail was built in the summer of 2022. This part is smooth singletrack with broad switchbacks that climb from the bottom of Whisky Gulch up onto the ridge above. The trail then joins onto what is an old doubletrack that is very quickly being reclaimed and turning into singletrack
