Overview
Haflin Creek Trail is a great, fun, technical downhill. This route is considered a shuttle or a double car shuttle.
Description
Most people will recommend this as a shuttle or a double car shuttle. Start your climb at the end of Sortais Street. The climb up
FS 071 is fairly moderate with a few steep sections. At your first intersection, stay left. There is a very short climb and then you'll split off right. This is considered doubletrack until you reach the
Missionary Ridge trail where it turns into singletrack. Take this singletrack until you reach the
Haflin Creek Trail sign.
This is where the epic downhill starts!
Haflin Creek Trail is one of the more technical trails in the area and not for the faint of heart. There are exposed sections on cliff edges and hard rock sections. This trail takes riders through dense pine forests, all the way to desert red rock riding. Riders can expect long, steep sections filled with loose rock and roots. There is a flow section in the middle which is a nice relax before more steep rock sections. This trail ends with tight switchbacks descending down towards the parking area.
