One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Overview
Sample two of the best technical, directional-DH bikes-only trails in SLC in one go. Terror ridge is a steep, technical, fast descent recommended for advanced and expert riders only. There are some crux moves and steep skidders at the end that are not suitable for novice riders.
Bobsled needs no introduction; SLC's original DH/Freeride trail.
Description
Start at the Terrace Hills Park and parking lot, climb Terrace Hills Drive to the BST access at the end of the cul-de-sac. Continue climbing up the access to the BST, then fork up on the
Twin Peaks Trail. Keep climbing up, you'll probably have some hike-a-bike near the top of twin peaks. At the top of the first twin peak, fork east down
Terror Ridge. Enjoy the descent, watch for loose rocks, the crux moves and steepest sections are at the end before you re-join the BST (not suitable for novice or intermediate riders). Zip back up the grassy knoll on BST to the top of
Bobsled and enjoy the final descent back to Chandler drive, hop the barricade on the road, do Peter's drops to fully finish the
Bobsled experience and cruise on 11th back to your car.
