Overview

Want to do the easiest route to Lap Lehi's Dream? This is a beautiful switchback filled climb with views of Utah Lake and Utah County up to the Mayor's summit just west of Alien Tower and the View Benchmark. With the work done, you get to enjoy a fantastic new DH trail; Lehi's Dream back to Oak Hollow where you can cruise back to the trailhead or take another lap!

Description

Start at the new Lehi City trailhead and Parking Lot at the top of Fox Canyon Road. Take a wide gravel path (sensei connector) just west of the parking lot, up and to the north to connect to Sensei. Take Sensei east, cross the main Oak Hollow drainage and continue up the mild Sensei grade as you dip in and out of several small canyons and drainages as you climb. The trail trends southeast along the west-facing Traverse Mountain benches.

The soil is generally rocky with loose gravel over hard-pack and goes thru many areas of scrub oak and sagebrush. When you get to the Lolo's Loop (trail is signed) take a hard left to switchback back up to the north. continue up the slightly steeper Lolo's Loop as it switchbacks up the mountain. Views get better as you climb. Near the summit (middle) of Lolo's Loop you'll switchback up and to the left again (trail is signed) to continue up Mayor's South. Mayor's South is a bit more technical with a section dipping between boulders and rock outcrops.

As you finish climbing Mayor's South you'll have views to the north and be able to see Lehi's Dream. Rest at the top, switch to downhill-mode and dive into Lehi's Dream. Lehi's Dream has nice wide catch berms on most of the low sides of the trail and at the switchbacks, but also has straight sections that are narrow, rocky, and technical. There are several rocky outcroppings that will keep you on your game with some optional jumps and rock drops.

Finish Lehi's at Momentum and hang a left in the Oak Hollow drainage to ride back down to Sensei, a right on Sensei will take you back to the sensei connector and back down to the trailhead. Adventurous riders could do another lap or go up Oak Hollow to Mayor's North for another quick Lehi's lap. Recommended for advanced riders only. Lehi's Dream is not suitable for beginner or novice-intermediate riders.
