One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Overview
A quick one-hour loop into the desert and back with some jumps and a drop. Take a breather halfway out at a sticker-covered abandoned trailer house. Then enjoy the brief trip to rowdy town that
Coyote Ridge offers before summiting
The Escalator and returning home.
Need to Know
Coyote Ridge can be a bit much for newer riders. There are no rideable alternatives on that trail, but you can try to walk your bike if you need to.
Description
After winding up
Middle Reservoir , turn left onto
Dangerous D's Jump Line. Then eventually split left to the more-taken path up onto
Jackrabbit Ridge. Follow that until you hit a wider road; there go left to head toward
Coyote Ridge. After appreciating the trailer house, follow the helmet graveyard up onto
Coyote Ridge. After four wooden jumps and a drop you'll eventually land in an arroyo. Start your steep journey up
The Escalator, turning right at the top. Follow
Bailout until you see the fenced equipment you could see from the parking lot. Look on your right for a fainter trail that will take you back to the parking lot.
History & Background
I'm not sure the story behind the abandoned trailer house. Perhaps someone will.
