Description

The Pipe Dream Trail is advanced, with narrow, technically difficult grades. Can you complete the No Dab challenge?

A long time dream of Moab locals is a reality with this trail system right on the south edge of Moab. Test your skills on Moabs most accessible singletrack. No need to drive, just head out on your bike!

This is a great evening ride. Start the trail right as the sun dips below the rim and you'll have plenty of daylight to finish your ride. The trail flows best from south to north.

In point of fact, this engineered trail doesn't flow at all in the other direction and is crippling, sluggish, and painful. If you are going north to south, you are far better off riding the power line, or even Highway-191.

But from south to north, start with the La Sals at your back as the trail climbs and descends along the south side of the Moab rim. You'll climb and descend plenty of tight, technical switchbacks and rock gardens. The slower you go, the worse it gets!

Trail can be accessed from 3 Trailheads:
-Aspen Ave. off of Kane Creek Blvd. right in town, minimal parking
-Jackson Street across highway 191 from 400E on South end of town, no parking.
-Hidden Valley Trailhead at Angel Rock Road. (mile marker 122) has the most parking. Hidden Valley is a popular hiking trail.

Much of this trail borders private land, please respect land owners wishes.

Please clean up after your dogs.

Eking out the last drops of daylight with Kyle Mears on Pipe Dream. Given its proximity to town, this trail is the perfect sunset rip.

Rode south 5 miles on highway to Hidden Valley TH. Then 5 miles back to center of Moab. Brutal experience, but I'm an idiot and will do it again! 10mi — 2h 15m
