Overview
Jacksonville Forest Park, located about 2 miles from the center of Jacksonville, Oregon offers a web of over 30 miles of multi-use (hiking, running and mountain biking) trails in the Jackson Creek Watershed, broken-up into 25+ named trails of 3 miles in length or less. Approximately half of the trails follow cool creek beds (popular venues for summer rides) and half traverse open oak hillsides (popular on sunny winter days). There are three trail-side shelters scattered about and a few good viewpoints but this park is not a place where you’d ride expressly for views. Signage is generally good and you'll eventually find your way back to where you parked.
