Overview

There are approximately 8.5 miles of trails in Spruce Mountain Open Space and another 8 miles across the way in Spruce Meadows Open Space. Staying below the mountain on the Eagle Pass Trail will take you along the edges of forests and meadows, where you can climb the Service Road on the south side of the mountain. Ice and snow can build up on all north facing trails. The east end of the Service Road that descends Spruce Mountain can be difficult, since it is steep and usually quite rutted.
